Raffle Tickets on Sale for Marathon Screening of Normal People in London with special appearance by lead actors Paul and Daisy
30th May 2024: To help raise funds for Ireland’s suicide prevention charity, Pieta, and UNICEF, Paul Mescal, Daisy Edgar Jones, along with director Lenny Abrahamson and element pictures are hosting a special marathon screen of all 12 episodes of Normal People. There will also be a special post screening Q&A session with the actors, director, and producer Ed Guiney.
In order to be in with a chance of attending this very special event, raffle tickets can be purchased at https://www.idonate.ie/raffle/normalpeople with all proceeds being split directly to Pieta to support the life saving work of the charity that delivers support to people in urgent need who are self-harming, struggling with suicidal thoughts or have lost someone to suicide, and UNICEF.
85% of Pieta’s funding comes from public donations, so support like this is extremely important to ensuring the charity can continue its lifesaving work.
Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar Jones said, “We can’t believe it’s been over four years since Normal People came out and how much it continues to move and impact people. We along with our director Lenny Abrahamson and Element Pictures are hosting a marathon screening of all 12 episodes at a Central London cinema on Sunday 16th June, to raise money for the wonderful suicide prevention charity Pieta. We will also be in attendance with Lenny and producer Ed Guiney, as we’ve never seen it on a big screen together and we would love to see as many of you there as possible! Limited tickets will be available to win through the online raffle.”
Speaking about the fundraiser, Matthew Oakes, Spokesperson at Pieta said, “We are incredibly grateful to Daisy, Paul, Lenny, and Element Pictures for their support. This event not only celebrates the success of Normal People but also brings vital awareness and funds to Pieta’s work. Every ticket purchased will help Pieta continue to support people in urgent need who are self-harming, struggling with suicidal thoughts, or have lost someone to suicide.”
